Plasterboard Tips

Walls. We suggest using 10mm or 13mm thick Boral Plasterboard sheets fixed horizontally across wall studs spaced at up to 600mm centres.

Ceilings. We suggest using 10mm sheets fixed across ceiling joists that are spaced up to 450mm apart. Or use 13mm sheets or 10mm Boral Unispan a special lightweight ceiling plasterboard with excellent anti-sag properties.

Cut plasterboard quickly and easily. Toolex Heavy Duty Fibreshear is a great tool that cuts fibre cement products, villaboard, compressed sheeting, and ceramic tile underlay to 9mm thick.
